Maintaining Your Philips EasyKey

Like your smartphones and cars, no matter how high-end they are, your smart lock needs routine maintenance. We provide the following 3 crucial pointers for maintaining Philips EasyKey smart locks:

  • To maintain the sensitivity of the fingerprint recognition area, dirt on the fingerprint collection area should be removed with a dry, soft cloth. However, take care to avoid harming or scratching the collection window by not using cleansers or steel wire cleaning balls that contain corrosive material.

  • Avoid applying lubricant to the lock cylinder and mortise as this could cause the smart lock to short circuit. Also, avoid letting grease adhere to the pin spring as this would prevent the lock bolt from rotating and making it impossible to open the door.

  • To avoid leaks, regularly check the battery level. Use of premium AA alkaline dry batteries is advised to prolong the life of the smart lock. When installing and using the smart lock, take care not to remove the battery, and never mix old and new batteries.

All Philips EasyKey digital locks and smart viewers are covered for 3 years and 2 years respectively, full parts and labour from date of installation. You may also reach us at our 24/7 hotline for any technical support.
